Axis Strength Training Core Values: How They Help You Reach Your Goals

At Axis Strength Training, our mission goes far beyond sets, reps, and sweat. We believe that long-term success in the gym—and in life—comes down to the values we live by. That’s why we’ve built our community around four Core Values:

Here’s what each one means to us, and how living by them can help you become the strongest version of yourself:


Integrity – We do what we say we will do.

Integrity is the foundation of confidence. Every time you follow through on a commitment—whether it’s to yourself or someone else—you reinforce trust in your own word. Conversely, every time you break a promise, even a small one, you chip away at that trust.


At Axis, integrity means showing up when you said you would. It means following your program, pushing through your workouts, and staying true to your goals. The more you keep those promises, the more confidence you’ll build—not just in the gym, but in every area of life.



Discipline – We do what needs to be done, regardless of how we feel.

Let’s be honest, motivation is fleeting. Some days you’ll feel pumped. Other days, not so much. That’s where discipline comes in.


Discipline means showing up even when you're tired, stressed, or unmotivated. It’s the ability to take action when your feelings are telling you to take a break. Developing discipline is like building a muscle, it gets stronger the more you use it. And those who master it are the ones who consistently move forward and hit their goals.


At Axis, we train discipline just like we train strength. It’s the real key to long-term progress.



Courage – We act in spite of fear.

Courage doesn’t mean we’re fearless, it means we move forward even when we’re scared. Fear of failure, fear of judgment, fear of the unknown, they're all part of the process.


But courage is a skill, not a personality trait. The more you act in spite of fear, the braver you become. Whether it's stepping into the gym for the first time, trying a new lift, or pushing through a plateau, courage grows when you lean into discomfort.


We encourage every athlete at Axis to embrace fear, take action anyway, and grow through it.



Humility – We are humble and kind.

At Axis, we lead with humility—on the coaching floor, in our classes, and in our daily interactions. We believe that humility is strength. It’s the ability to put others first, to listen more than we speak, and to help without expecting anything in return.


This value shapes our culture. We hire coaches who care deeply about others, who serve with kindness, and who put ego aside. And we ask the same of our athletes. Why? Because humility creates a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. It builds a team where everyone roots for each other, not competes against each other.


Being humble doesn’t mean being timid—it means being confident enough to lift others up.
